The warm tone is the whole point. Where a cold green field pushes everything toward northern Europe, this one sits comfortably in Spain, the Ukraine, the Anatolian plateau, the plains of Rohan, or any dry-country setting you care to name.

• No printed features or scale cues, so it works from 6mm and 10mm mass battle through 15mm, 28mm, and 32mm heroic scale
• Drapes over what's underneath. Slide foam, books, or hills beneath it for rolling ground and ridgelines instead of hills sitting on top of a flat board. Neoprene physically cannot do this
• Matte, non-reflective finish. No glare under overhead lights, and it photographs cleanly for battle reports
