Product Overview
FeltPro™ Cut & Play One-Sheet Battlefield 2.0 — 50" x 60"
One printed sheet. Cut it once, and you own a complete wargame battlefield — base ground, roads, a river, woods, rough ground, and a bog — with nothing left over and nothing else to buy.
The play field is a self-contained panel occupying the bulk of the sheet: roughly 3' x 3' of open grassland, enough for most skirmish games at 28mm and even a solid corps-scale historical table at 15mm. Every cuttable piece sits in the surrounding margin. You cut the margin free, and the play surface is untouched.
FeltPro is printed on a felt-based fleece. It does not fray, does not unravel, and does not need hemming or sealing. Scissors, one pass, done. That property is the whole reason Cut & Play exists.
What's on the sheet
- 3' x 3' grass battlefield with dry patches and scrub
- 1 four-way dirt crossroad, plus a short road spur and a road cap
- 4 river sections — two bends and two straights,1 with a ford, tileable into a run across the table
- 2 large woodland footprints (~10" x ~16" across)
- 1 rough-ground / rocky footprint
- 1 marsh-and-bog footprint
How the two layers work
Under the mat: the battlefield panel drapes. Put anything under it — foam sheet, a stack of books, a magazine, a rolled-up pair of socks — and the fleece takes the shape and holds it. You get real hills, real depressions, a real ridge with real dead ground behind it. Infantry stand on the slope for defense and vehicles go genuinely hull down. Line of sight is interrupted by the mat itself.
On top of the mat: the cut pieces lay flat on the draped surface. Lay a river through a valley you've built. Run the crossroad over a rise. Drop a woodland footprint on a shoulder of high ground and stand your own trees on it — the oval defines the area terrain, your trees dress it, and everyone at the table can see exactly where the woods start and stop.
Infinitely Reconfigurable.
The pieces are loose. The river runs east-west this week and north-south next week, diagnal the week after. And, because the elevation comes from what you put underneath, the same sheet can give you a different battlefield every game without you owning a single piece of painstakingly crafted or bulky 3Dprinted terrain.
FeltPro is thick felt. It's soft and pliable, not rubber-backed like neoprene. It's a lot lighter, and it rolls and folds far smaller and easier. It is also the only mat that conforms to the terrain you put beneath it — that's the trade you're making, and it's the point.
Plays well with
Silver Bayonet, Frostgrave, Forbidden Psalms, Trench Crusade, Five Leagues, really any compact skirmish game where you would want to change up the playfield for each game.
Cutting notes
Sharp fabric scissors or a rotary cutter. Cut just inside the printed border on the terrain footprints so no brown margin shows on the table. Cut the road and river sections on the seam lines.
