Snow is the most forgiving surface a wargamer can put on a table. There's no vegetation to date it, no soil colour to argue with your basing, no landmarks to tie it to one world. • Cold white with subtle blue-grey shading and drift texture. Not flat paper-white — it has form, and it holds shadow where your terrain sits on it
• The best mat you can own for photography. Dark models, dark bases, and dark terrain all pop hard against snow. If you post battle reports or sell painted commissions, this is the surface that makes the work look its best
• Drapes over what's underneath. Slide foam, books, or hills beneath it for drifts, banks, and rolling snow-covered ridges. Neoprene can't do this
• Matte, non-reflective finish, so it won't glare out under overhead lights
